The Lepokallio Trail is a 5.8-kilometer hiking route established and maintained by the Hanhikoski Women’s Association in 2019, winding through diverse forest landscapes in Ylistaro's Hanhikoskella. Along the route, there are two lean-tos: Lepokallio Lean-to and Pururata Lean-to, both equipped with fire pits and firewood. The trail is accessible year-round, offering an easy excursion destination where one can enjoy varied terrain, including sunny pine forests and atmospheric spruce woods.

Highlights

  • The Lepokallio loop mainly runs through the forest, occasionally dipping onto forest roads and into agricultural landscapes.
  • There are two shelters along the route: Lepokallio shelter and Pururata shelter, both equipped with wood supply.
  • The route is easy to navigate, but there are small elevation changes that get your heart rate up.
